Sambalpur: A Special Squad of District Police seized 62 grams of brown sugar from Rampela in Odisha’s Sambalpur district on Monday.
Acting on a tip-off, police conducted a raid and seized brown sugar from a car and arrested three persons from the spot.
Cops identified two persons as Trailakya Pradhan, the mastermind of the crime, and Jyotiranjan Mohanty, said sources.

Cash worth Rs 5 lakh and one car was also seized from their possession, added the sources.
The arrestees will undergo a medical check-up before being forwarded to the court later today.
