Bhubaneswar: Police have made elaborate security arrangements for the Durga Puja in the state capital. Durga puja will be celebrated in 174 pandals in Bhubaneswar.
Police said that 63 platoons of police force will be deployed in Bhubaneswar. “Traffic management will be the top priority. Concerned puja committees have been asked to install closed-circuit cameras to keep a watch on antisocial. The puja committees have also been asked to deploy volunteers to control crowd,” said a police official.
Commissionerate police have also decided to deploy personnel of Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) and Quick Action Team. Police personnel in plain clothes will be deployed in and around the pandals to keep a watch on snatchers and pickpockets.
