Cuttack: Police are investigating possible human sacrifice angle into the triple murder cases in Cuttack which took place within a span of 24 hours. Police on Tuesday have arrested the serial killer identified as Narayan Sahu from Nyagarh.
Police said that though the accused appeared mentally unstable, they found Sahu of performing puja at graveyards in Odagaon in Nayagarh district and Bellaguntha in Ganjam district. Sahu who used to sell bangles had moved to Odagaon from Bellaguntha after he suffered loss in business.
“Our teams visited both the places and extracted details of Sahu. People knowing him claimed him of performing puja at graveyards in both the places. So we suspect the murders could be part of human sacrifice,” said a police official.
