Police Identify Man Burnt Alive On School Premises In Jagatsinghpur

Jagatsinghpur: Police today ascertained the identity of the man who was found half burnt from a school premises Daagaon village under Balikuda police limits in the district.

Police today said that the man has been identified as Krushnachandra Champatiray, a native of Nayagarh district. Police said that the deceased was working in a shopping mall in Ahmedabad.

Police suspect that the youth was murdered over an illicit affair with a woman near Balikuda. “His wife claimed that he had told her that he was going to his workplace. She also claimed that her husband used to get several calls from a woman. We are trying to ascertain the circumstances under which he reached Balikuda,” said a police official.

The deceased died on Sunday while undergoing treatment at the Jagatsinghpur District Headquarters Hospital. Police have seized a knife along with few empty bottles from the spot.
