Police Gets Video Of Assault Of Youth By His Family Members In Odisha
The Youth Was Found Dead Near His House
Jajpur Road: Police today obtained a video in which a youth was seen being assaulted by his family members including parents at Nuagaon under Jajpur Road police limits.
Police on Saturday have detained the parents of the youth identified as Narendra Sahu who was found dead near his house.
Police said that the mother of the deceased was seen assaulting him with bricks and stick while his brother was seen holding him. “During investigation, we came to know about the incident which took place on Friday. The neighbours of the family also told us that the family members have also taken him to the nearest hospital,” said a police official.
Police have found a bottle of insecticide near the body along with a bloodstained brick. “The deceased was mentally unstable and used to get angry without any provocation. We suspect the family members of beating him to death,” added the police official.
Police said that they are also trying to nab the brother of the deceased who has absconded after the incident. “We are also waiting for the post-mortem report to ascertain the cause of death,” said the police official.
