Police foil loot bid in Odisha’s Ganjam, 5 arrested
Berhampur: In a major breakthrough, police foiled a loot bid and arrested as many as five miscreants in Digapahandi area of Odisha’s Ganjam district today.
According to reports, police conducted a raid in Talasinghi area after receiving reliable information that a group of persons consisting of about 5-6 being armed with deadly weapon had assembled at Kamalapur Chhaka and were planning for a loot.
Police arrested five miscreants whom they identified as Kalia Sahu, Santosh Kumar Sahu, Bikash Mahapatra, Badal Naik and Pintu Behera.
Several articles like long sword, iron rods, live bombs, housebreaking instruments and mobile phones were seized from their possessions.
Meanwhile, the accused have been forwarded to the court.
Further investigation is underway.
