Bhubaneswar: Police Commissioner Sudhanshu Sarangi today felicitated a havildar for saving four persons from an accident at Sikharpur in Cuttack.
Sarangi today felicitated the havildar Lalit Mohan Rout at the Commissionerate headquarters for his quick action and presence of mind which saved the lives of four persons.
Police said that the incident took place on November 30 when Rout was performing his duty at the traffic post. “Rout jumped from the traffic post and pulled aside four persons on two motorcycles from a speeding truck. His timely intervention prevented a major road mishap,” said a police official.
