PM Modi to visit Odisha’s Sundergarh today

Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi being the star campaigner for his party is coming to Odisha on Saturday to address rallies in Sundergarh and Sonepur as part of the BJP’s election campaign.

After landing at Veer Surendra Sai Airport in Jharsuguda, the PM will head to Sundergarh to address a huge public rally- ‘Vijay Sankalp Samabesh’ at Ropidi. Later in the day, PM Modi will address another campaign rally at Rameswar Stadium in Sonepur.

For this conclave 35 platoons of the police force, 200 senior police officers, SOG, SPG officers, along with DIG Kavita Jalan and Sundergarh SP Soumya Mishra have undertaken the security arrangements for the PM’s visit.

Also participating in the event is Odisha BJP leader Arun Singh, Union Minister Juel Oram, seven candidates from Sundergarh constituency, Bargarh Lok Sabha candidate Suresh Pujari, Jharsuguda, Brajrajnagar candidates.

BJP’s other star campaigner UP CM Yogi Adityanath is also scheduled to visit Odisha’s Berhampur today at Ambapua. BJP President Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Odisha on Sunday for election campaigning.

Meanwhile, Congress President Rahul Gandhi has also announced to hit the election campaigning in the state on April 9.
