Varanasi : As a part of ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday performed ‘Shramdan’ for the construction of a twin pit toilet at Shahanshahpur village in the district.
On the second and final day of his Varanasi visit, Modi appreciated the local villagers for taking measures for creating Open Defecation Free villages and constructing toilets in every house, naming the toilets as ‘Izzat Ghar’.
Modi also shared the pictures of his shramdan for toilet construction on his twitter handle.

Underlining the need for public support for the success of the Swachchhata drive, Modi said a sense of responsibility for cleanliness must be developed in each and every person.
