PM Modi interacts with beneficiary from Odisha while reviewing PMUY

Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with a beneficiary from Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district while reviewing the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) on Monday.

Modi spoke to one Suchismita Kabat through video conferencing and enquired about the benefit she got after getting LPG gas cylinder under PMUY. Besides, advised her to cook better and mostly vegie food for her children so that they can be physically fit by eating such food.

This apart, the MP also asked Kabat not to pay any single bribe to anyone and inform him through letter if asked by anyone.

The Prime Minister noted that the women centric scheme has transformed the lives of four crore BPL women since its launch in May 2016. The initiative provides better lives to our mothers and sisters and even makes their lives easy.

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who attended the programme, said “Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana has empowered women and I express my sincere gratitude to Honourable PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji on behalf of Odisha for beginning the interaction with beneficiaries of Mayurbhanj district in Odisha. Like the head of the family the PM encouraged the beneficiaries about the safe & sustained use of LPG.”
