Baripada: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated slew of projects of the Central Government worth Rs. 5399 Crores at a special function here in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district. This was his second visit to the State in less than two weeks.
The Prime Minister laid foundation stone of four-laning of three major sections of National Highways in the state. First one is a 43.2km of Rimuli-Koida section of NH-215 at a project cost of Rs 828.36 crore while the second NH project is 104.2 km of Singara-Binjabahal section of NH-6 worh Rs 1,313 crore and the third project is 53.2 km of Koida-Rajmunda section of NH-215 with an expenditure of Rs 1176.4 crore.
The Prime Minister also dedicated 513 km Balasore-Haldia-Durgapur section of Paradip-Haldia-Durgapur LPG pipeline to the nation. This section was constructed by Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) at a cost of Rs 1080 crore.
Modi also flagged off a second passenger train from Badampahad in Mayurbhanj district to Tatanagar in Jharkhand. This train will run for six days a week.
