Plus Two exams in Odisha to be conducted with 70% syllabus due to COVID-19 pandemic

Bhubaneswar: The Plus Two annual examinations for the academic year 2021-22 will be held with 70 per cent syllabus in view of the ongoing COVID pandemic situation. This was informed by the Council for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) on Thursday.

While speaking about the decision, CHSE Secretary Tushar Kanti Tripathy said that decision to this effect was taken in a high-level meeting convened by the Department of Higher Education today.

Tripathy said that the decision was taken with an aim to reduce the pressure on Class XI and Class XII students during the pandemic situation.

The students will appear four exams in each year class 11 students will appear three internal exams and one annual exam. The colleges will conduct these exams. Similarly, Class 12 students will appear three internal exams conducted by the junior colleges. This annual exam will be conducted by the CHSE.

It is to be noted here that the Plus Two exams were conducted with 70% syllabus last year as well.
