Plus Two Exam: 63 Students booked for Malpractice during English exam in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: As many as 63 students of Arts stream were caught for malpractice during the English paper in the ongoing annual Plus Two examinations. This was informed by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) on Wednesday.

Notably, 2,33,978 students out of the total 3,65,826 examinees are writing the annual exam in the Arts stream this year.

As many as 96,175 Science students and 27,447 Commerce students are also appearing the exam which is being  conducted by the CHSE in 1,104 centres across the state.

The CHSE authorities have tightened vigilance to check malpractice during the exam following the incident of Odisha Matric exam question papers getting circulated on WhatsApp. Besides CCTVs, a three tier-security has been put in place for the same.

The CHSE has also issued letters to all the superintendents of +2 examination centres over ban on mobile phones and other electronic gadgets into the examination centres. It has clarified that no invigilators or any other staff at the examination centres will be allowed to carry mobile phones except the centre superintendent.

The exam will continue till March 29.
