Malkangiri: A consumer alleged that the eggs he had bought from the local market here in Odisha are made of plastic-like material.
According to reports, one Digambar Behera, a resident of Hi-tech colony in the district headquarter town, bought a dozen eggs on Friday morning.
However, when he broke the eggs to prepare omelette he found yolk-like white- liquid substance with yellowish tinge in it.
Realising the eggs as artificial, he put the shell on fire and to his surprise – he found that the shell started melting like plastic.
Behera urged the administration to look into the matter saying, “Such eggs will hamper the health of the consumers”.
