Petrol and diesel prices hike in Bhubaneswar today; Petrol rate hikes by 20 paise

Bhubaneswar: The petrol and diesel prices have hiked in Bhubaneswar on Monday. The price of petrol has been recorded at Rs 101.81 per litre while the diesel rate has been recorded at Rs 91.62 per litre today.

While on Sunday, the cost of petrol was recorded at Rs 101.61 per litre while the diesel price was recorded at Rs 91.43 per litre. The cost of petrol and diesel have risen by 20 paise and 19 Paise respectively, in the last 48 hours.

On the other hand, the petrol and diesel price in major cities of India have remained unchanged for several consecutive days after the price cut announced by Government.

The petrol price in major cities of India like Chennai, Kolkata and Mumbai have been recorded at Rs 101.40, Rs 104.67 and Rs 109.98 respectively. The diesel price are recorded at Rs 91.43 in Chennai, Rs 89.79 in Kolkata and in Mumbai the rates are at Rs 94.14.

Meanwhile, the price of petrol in the national capital is recorded at Rs 103.97 per litre while the price of diesel is at Rs 86.67 per litre.

The fall in cost of petrol has brought much needed relief to consumers. However, despite the price cut, the petrol cost still remains above Rs 100 in most of the cities.
