Bhubaneswar: By intensifying its campaign against the alleged rampant Percentage Commissioning (PC) prevailing in the state, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today started its three-day gherao of all block offices in Odisha.
As a part of the campaign the saffron party will gherao all 314 block offices of Odisha, during which its activists will protest the misappropriation of government fund and boost to the PC system in the 19-year of BJD rule.
The protest will continue till October 30 and excluding the Sunday, says reports.
In recent times BJP has alleged that the block offices in the state have been virtually converted into the ruling party’s office with an objective to prevent Central assistance to reach the people of the state.
Notably, the Odisha BJP is holding ‘Lok Sampark Padyatra’ at the village-level from November 1 to 30 along with ‘Parivartan Yatra’ to be conducted from December 1 to 30 with an objective to target the ruling BJD government over its corruption and scams.
