Bhubaneswar: People were left in a state of panic in Patharabandha slum under Saheed Nagar police limits in the city today after unidentified miscreants hurled back to back bombs and fled from the spot.
The incident took place at around 11 am while residents were busy in their daily chores, informed some eyewitnesses. At least four unknown youths came on a bike and hurled country bombs randomly before fleeing, they added.
While nobody was hurt in the attack and no major loss to property was caused, locals have feared more attacks in the future and alleged a local youth’s hand in it.
Identified as Prakash, the accused has a long-running dispute with the slum residents.
Police have reached the spot to take stock of the situation.
