Jharsuguda: Tension erupted at Jharsuguda District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) this morning following the death of a critically injured patient, as his family alleged medical negligence on the part of the doctors.
As per the report, the deceased identified as Rakesh Kalse (28) suffered a road mishap on Beheramal Main Road last night. He was out on his bike in some work when lost control while crossing road humps and fell off the bike.
A critically injured Kalse was rushed to Jharsuguda DHH in a critical condition and died under treatment there later.
However, family members of the deceased held doctors at the hospital responsible for his death and created a ruckus. Later they staged a demonstration along with some locals in front of the DHH demanding action against the accused doctors.
The agitation was underway at the DHH premise till this report was being filed and police had not reached the spot.
