Cuttack: In a tragic incident, atleast three persons including a patient from West Bengal were killed in a road accident near Baichuan NH-16 under Tangi police limits in Cuttack district on Saturday.
The accident took place when the ambulance from Medinapur, West Bengal was on its way to SCB Medical Hospital for treatment. The driver of the ambulance lost its control over the wheels and rammed into the stationary truck on the NH-16. Three persons died on the spot and two others sustained critical injuries.
On being informed the Tangi police and fire personnel reached the spot and rescued the injured and rushed them to SCB Medical Hospital for medical treatment.
The deceased and injured persons identity has not been ascertained yet.
