Bhubaneswar: Princess of Paralakhemundi in Odisha Kalyani Devi joined the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) here on Tuesday.
The Gajapati dynasty scion joined the ruling BJD along with her hundreds of supporters in the presence of party president & Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Berhampur MP Sidhant Mohapatra at Naveen Niwas in the city.
Kalyani, daughter of Parala king and former MP Gopinath Gajapati, is likely to contest as an MLA candidate from Paralakhemundi constituency on BJD ticket in the ensuing 2019 elections, sources said.
