Paralakhemundi: In a major development in the sensational mysterious death case of Paralakhemundi ACF Soumya Ranjan Mohapatra, the Odisha Crime Branch will assist the Paralakhemundi police in the investigation of the case.
Speaking to the media about the development, Crime Branch ADG Sanjeev Panda said that the CB has formed a four-member team including a DSP rank officer and an inspector to help the police in the investigation.
Meanwhile, the Crime Branch team reached Paralakhemundi and met the Gajapati district collector over the matter.
It is to be noted here that Abhiram, the father of the deceased ACF Soumya Ranjan Mohapatra met DG Abhay yesterday and demanded lie detection test of ACF’s wife Bidyabharati Panda, Paralakhemundi DFO Keshari Behera, and cook Manmath Kamba and seizure of their mobile phones.
