Jeypore: Panic gripped among the poultry farmers of Mahaliput and adjoining area of Jeypore in Koraput district of Odisha over the death of hundreds of chickens in the last few days.
After being intimated about the situation veterinary department officials visited the infected area and took stock of the situation. They provided vaccination to the chickens for countering the sickness symptoms. The veterinary officials also collected samples from the the chickens for testing purposes.
It is to be noted that a few days back Bird-flu attacks had spread across different districts of Odisha including the capital. While the poultry farmers are slowly recovering from the past situation, the fresh attacks on the poultry has brought back the panic situation.
