Over 30 injured as picnic bus collides with truck in Odisha

Angul:  More than 30 persons sustained injuries as a picnic bus carrying them collided head on with a truck on NH-149 near Gotamara under Banarpal police limits in Odisha’s Angul district late last night.

According to reports, around 60 persons of Badahata and Thakurapatana in Kendrapara district were on their way to Rourkela in a private-run bus for a picnic in the steel city, while the truck was coming from other side.

The injured persons were rushed to District Headquarters Hospital here and later, two of them were shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital as their condition was critical.

Meanwhile, Angul police registered a case in this connection and began investigation.
