Mayurbhanj: The Special Task Force of the Odisha police seizes 3.28kg brown sugar worth more than 3 crore and arrested one person in this connection in Mayurbhanj district today.
Acting on a tip-off, the STF conducted a raid at 5 am in the morning hours at NH-16,Kuliana in Mayurbhanj and nabbed one drug peddler in this connection.
So far, the STF has seized 15kg 648 grams of contraband this year, registered 20 cases against the drug peddlers and 40 have been arrested, said an official.
Earlier, in between 2013-2019 , the Special Task Force(STF) have seized 7kg of brown sugar and the team will continue its further investigation, informed Soumendra Priyadarshi ADG Crime Branch .
