OTET cancelled as ‘leaked’ question papers go viral on social media

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) was cancelled hours after the question papers leaked and became viral on social media on Wednesday.

Briefing media persons in Cuttack, Board of Secondary Education (BSE) president Jahan Ara Begum said “The OTET stands cancelled after we found that question papers were leaked”

“The dates of re-examination will soon be announced,” she added terming the incident as unfortunate.

The incident came to light when the question paper of the first sitting went viral on social media before the exam time this morning.

The exam was scheduled to be conducted in two shifts today. While the first shift was from 10 AM till 12:30 PM, the second shift was scheduled to be held from 2 PM till 4:30 PM.

As many as 1.7 lakh candidates have appeared in the test, conducted by BSE, in 250 exam centres across the state.
