Orissa High Court dismisses relocation of SCB Medical Public School in Cuttack

Cuttack: The Orissa High Court has dismissed an FIR that was lodged against relocation of SCB Medical Public School in Cuttack. Reportedly, the high court heard the case following which it dismissed the case.

The bench comprising Chief Justice S. Muralidhar and Justice Aditya Kumar Mohapatra refused to intervene in the case filed by the SCB Medical Public School School Parents’ Association. The decision to relocate the school was a part of the SCB expansion plan.

But the parents’ association has complained that the law did not comply with the issue of school relocation and land acquisition. Whereas, the State government claimed that the land belongs to them. Hence, the question of land acquisition does not arise.

It is to be noted that 2.5 acres of land has been provided by the government for the school. The new campus will offer modern facilities for the students.
