Orissa HC directs to regularize jobs of Data Entry Operators

Cuttack: The Orissa High Court has directed the State government to regularize jobs of contractual data entry operators engaged in four outsourcing departments.

Reportedly, these departments are Local Fund Audit, Sub Registrar, Loka Seva Bhavan and Gopabandhu Academy.

According to the direction of the Court, the Odisha government must give equal facilities to the contractual workers like the regular workers within a period of three months.

Over 1500 contractual data entry operators will be benefited by the Court’s order.

While hearing a petition, the High court stated that the contractual data entry operators, who fulfilled all the eligibility criteria, should be made permanent. All the benefits will be extended after the regularization of their job.

Earlier in 2018, the Court had ordered the State government to regularize jobs of 75 contractual data entry operators engaged in the Commercial Tax Department.
