Order issued for confiscation of assets of ex-medicine specialist, Baripada

Cuttack: The learned Authorized Officer, Special Court, Cuttack has passed final order for confiscating the immovable assets worth Rs.5,24,111/- and movable assets worth Rs.2,31,316.19/- amounting to total assets worth Rs.7,55,427.19 (Rupees Seven Lakhs Fifty-five Thousand Four Hundred Twent Seven and Nineteen paisa) of Dr. Dhruba Charan Nath, Ex-Medicine Specialist, District Head Quarter Hospital (DHQH), Baripada in Mayurbhanj district in Confiscation Case No.02/2019.

It relates to Balasore Vigilance P.S Case No.16 dt.10.05.1996 U/s 13 (2) r/w 13 (1) (e) P.C Act. 1988 registered against Dr. Dhruba Charan Nath, Ex-Medicine Specialist, DHQH, Baripada on the allegation of possession of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

After completion of investigation, the chargesheet was submitted against Dr. Dhruba Charan Nath, Ex-Medicine Specialist, DHQH, Baripada for possession of disproportionate assets in Balasore Vigilance P.S Case No.16/1996.

Besides, Confiscation proceeding had been filed in the Court of learned Authorized Officer, Special Court, Cuttack for confiscation of disproportionate assets of the accused. Accordingly, final order was passed for confiscation of assets worth Rs.7,55,427.19.
