OPSC ASO recruitment 2022: New notification released for 796 Assistant Section Officer posts

Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has released a new notification to fill up 796 vacant posts of Assistant Section Officer (ASO) in Group-B of the Odisha Secretariat Service under the Home Department.

Eligible candidates can apply for the posts after the online application link get activated at the official website https://www.opsc.gov.in/ from January 20, 2022. The last date to submit the online applications is February 25, 2022.

A total of 796 vacancies will be filled under Odisha Secretariat Service of Home Department in the pay scale of Rs 35,400/- in Level 9.

Important Dates

Starting date of online application – January 20, 2022.

Last date of registration and fee payment –  February 19, 2022.

Last date of registered online application – February 25, 2022.

Total – 796

  • UR – 447
  • SEBC – 62
  • SC – 109
  • ST – 178

According to the notification 447 vacant posts is for Unreserved category, 109 for Scheduled Castes, 178 for Scheduled Tribes, and  posts for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC). Reservations for Sportspersons, Ex-servicemen, and Persons with Disability (PWD) will be adjusted within their respective categories.

OPSC ASO Recruitment 2022 for Eligibility Criteria 

Educational Qualification:

The candidate should have done Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university and should have Adequate Knowledge in Computer Application.

Age Limit 

The applicants age should be between 21 years to 32 years of age, as on January 01, 2021. Age relaxation of 5 years will be provided to SC, ST, SEBC, Women, and Ex-servicemen, and 10 years to PWD candidates with permanent disability of 40 percent and more.

Selection Process for OPSC ASO Posts

The selection will be done on the basis of written exam and Skill Test in Computer.

How to apply for OPSC ASO Recruitment 2022?

Interested and eligible candidates can apply Online for the posts through the OPSC’s Website www.opsconline.gov.in from 20 January to 25 January 2022.

Once the form is submitted, a Permanent Public Service Account Number (PPSAN) will be issued. Candidates need to print the application form and sign under the ‘Declaration for Submission to OPSC’ and other documents.

Application Fee

For unreserved candidates: Rs 500.

For SC/ST/PwD candidates: No fee.
