Malkangiri: Thirteen year old Sonali was normal at birth. However, just after two months she lost her left leg in a fire mishap. Since then the girl is struggling for a good life with one leg.

The victim hails from Kurkundi village in Bejangiwada panchayat under Kalimela block of Malkangiri district in Odisha. She is a student of Class VII at the Bejangiwada Primary School.

Sonali finds it painful to visit school regularly to attend Class. However, the brave girl still limps to the school regularly.

She had been admitted to SCB, Cuttack for treatment but in vain.

Along with her family Sonali has prayed for financial assistance and artificial leg so that she can walk like normal girls.

When it comes to family Sonali has two sisters and a brother. Her father works as a migrant labourer to earn his livelihood. However, with his meagre income it is hard to nourish the family. Hence, on most days the family remains on fast at night. While getting two times’ meal a day is difficult, treatment of the girl is nothing but a far cry.

Villagers of Kurkundi have sought assistance for the girl. If you are interested to help out the poor girl watch the video that contains her bank details.
