Kendrapada: One person was killed over a land dispute in Sahira village under Ali police station here.
The deceased has been identified as Ramchandra Jena.
As per reports, there has been a dispute in between Sepani Jena and Laxmidhar Jena over discrepancy of land measurement. The two have at loggerheads for a while.
On July 9, Ramchandra went to fetch water from a nearby hand pump which led to a severe dispute between the two families.
Ali police have lodged a murder case and have begun an investigation into the matter.
