Keonjhar: One person was killed and other was injured when a speeding bike hit a truck on Tuesday near a Shani Temple of Gadadharpur under Ghatagaon town police limits of Keonjhar district.
The dead has been identified as Manas Mohanty who was a resident of Mukundapurpatna in Ghatagaon block.
As per reports, Manas Mohanty and his brother were returning home on their bike when they lost control of the bike and hit a stationary truck. Manas lost his life on the spot while his brother was critical.
Upon informing, the fire service department immediately rushed to the spot and brought both of the brothers to Ghatagaon Hospital.
While Manas was declared ‘brought dead’, his brother was given treatment. Since the injured’s condition worsened he was transferred to Cuttack SCB hospital.
The local police have begun an investigation.
