One killed, 2 critical after being electrocuted in Odisha
Bhanjanagar: In a tragic incident, a person was killed while two others sustained critical injuries after coming in contact with an 11 KV high tension live wire at Mudulipalli village of Ganjam district today.
Police identified the deceased as Narayan Gouda of Jilundi village and the injured persons as Jay Pradhan and Bikas Sethy of Mudulipalli village.
A group of five to six labourers were carrying iron rods onto the roof of an under-constructed building of Mudulipalli panchayat office. Unfortunately, an iron rod accidentally touched the live wire that has passed above the building.
While Gouda died on the spot, Jay Pradhan and Bikas Sethy sustain injury. They have been admitted to Bhanjanagar hospital for treatment.
Bhanjanagar police reached the spot after getting information and began an investigation into the matter. Gouda’s body also has been sent to the hospital for postmortem.
