Bhubaneswar: In an unfortunate incident an on-duty Jawan of Border Security Force (BSF) from Odisha was killed in a road accident in Assam today.
The deceased jawan has been identified as Jayprakash Mahapatra ails Kalia. He is a native of Aranchala village under Nirakarpur Tehsil of Odisha’s Khurda district.
Mahapatra reportedly died after meeting with an accident while teaching driving to the newly recruited BJF jawans in Shillong, said sources.
Meanwhile, a pall of gloom descended on t Aranchala village after the news of Mahapatra’s death got spread in the area. His body will be brought and cremated with state honour in the village tomorrow.
