Malkangiri: Initiating action against the guilty officials in Matric OMR sheet missing case, Malkangiri district Collector today suspended the Superintendent Bidyut Kumar Patra and Assistant Superintendent Satrughna Swain of SSD Padia High School for dereliction of duty.
The action came on the part of the district administration within 24 hours of lodging of an FIR against four officials yesterday by the Block Education Officer (BEO) on the direction of Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.
OMR sheets of the Mathematics paper of 108 students who had appeared for matriculation examination went missing from the concerned high school last Saturday night. Authorities of the school lodged a complaint at Padia police station after the incident came to light the next morning.
