Bhubaneswar: Odisha is capable of fighting the third Covid wave. The Public Health Director, Niranjan Mishra has said the way the virus has spread in Britain, a third wave seems imminent.
He also said that the Odisha government has enhanced surveillance.
More than 1500 people from ‘at risk’ countries have come to Odisha so far. We are capable of handling Omicron said Mishra.
“Preparations are on and regular reviews of necessary infrastructure are being done,” Niranjan Mishra.
The Odisha Public Health Director Niranjan Mishra said, “On rumours of a foreign returnee in Cuttack being infected with Omicron variant, the Director assured, “we have no evidence related to this, but the administration has been asked to submit details”
