Bhubaneswar: Ollywood star Ardhendu, who is best known for his recent film ‘Blackmail’ that houses the song ‘Bou Mariba’, has lately grabbed attention for a noble cause. He donated rupees one lakh each to the families of the two Odia martyrs who were killed in the Pulwama terrorist attack.
The actor reached the villages of the two martyrs and handed over the checks to the martyrs’ families. We also see, the actor handing over checks to the families in a YouTube video.
The ‘Tapori’ actor said, “It is high time that India should heavily retaliate against terrorism. Everybody should think over it. And the families of the martyrs really need the help of others and hence I request everybody to extend their hand of cooperation in this regard.”
While in the national level many Bollywood stars have extended their helping hands towards the next of the kin of Pulwama martyrs’ families, in Ollywood this is probably the first instance.
