Bhubaneswar: Asian Athletics Championships-2017 (AAC) Mascot ‘Olly’ Turtle was the centre of all attention at the Bhubaneswar Patha Utsav here on Sunday.
Hundreds of people attended the 32nd Patha Utsav and took selfies with ‘Olly’.
Colourful paintings on the Asian Athletics meet were drawn by artists at the Patha Utsav held on the stretch of Janpath from the Master Canteen square to the Ram Mandir square.
On this occasion, Ollywood singing sensation Human Sagar enthralled the people with some of his hit songs.
“The presence of ‘Olly’ at the Patha Utsav has encouraged the people here to go and witness the Asian Athletics Championships. The sporting event will boost the State’s tourism sector,” said Tourism & Culture Minister Ashok Chandra Panda while speaking to the reporters.
Finance Minister Shashi Bhusan Behera, Bhubaneswar MP Prasanna Patasani and Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) mayor Anant Narayan Jena were among the dignitaries who attended the event.
