Sonepur: In a rare incident, an old woman on Thursday was seen urging the District Collector to return her cow. The incident took place in Sonepur, the district Head Quarter of Subarnapur district in Odisha.

As per reports, the old woman named Tarash Bagh, who lives on begging, was taking care of four stray cattle. Whatever food material she was getting, she was giving it to the four cows to eat. Accordingly, she had developed emotional bonding with the cows and was bringing them up like her child.

However, recently under the ‘Go Shraddha’ program the Municipality staff took away the cows and put them in the Kanji house. As per reports, the Municipality staffs have taken away the most favourite of the four cows named ‘Siga’ to the Kanji house.

Finding no other way to get back the cow, the old woman today visited the District Collector and slept in front of her vehicle as a protest and urged to take necessary step so that she can get back the cow. Even, in her grievance, she said that she is ready to pay any fine required for it.
