Sonepur: In a tragic incident, driver of an oil tanker was burnt alive after the vehicle caught fire following a collision with a truck on Sonepur-Sambalpur road today.
According to reports, the incident took place at Patrapali Chhak.
Fire brigade personnel rushed to spot and doused the flames after getting information. They also rescued the critically injured helper of the oil tanker and admitted to the Ulunda hospital in Subarnapur (Sonepur) district.
Vehicular movements on the main road stretch, linking Sambalpur and Sonepur, got disrupted due to the mishap.
Till the filing of the story, the identities of the deceased driver and injured helper were unknown.
