Bhanjanagar: Someone has rightly said that age is not a barrier when it comes to talent. This has been proven by a two and half year old boy from Odisha’s Bhanjanagar area. Subhranshu Rout is just 2.8-year-old but he holds two records in his name.
Subhranshu Rout is the only son of Sushant Kumar Rout of Lalsingi area under the Bhanjanagar Block of Ganjam district. He was born on September 13, 2019.
Subhranshu Rout has got his name scripted in the India Book of Records for his ability to identify 8 freedom fighters, 16 vehicles, 34 animals, 7 insects, 16 fruits and vegetables, 10 actions, 16 parts of the body; recalling words from A-Z, 8 rhymes, 2 slokas, months in a year, days of the week, national anthem, numbers from 1-10, 11 national symbols, 20 antonyms, 8 planets, 6 seasons and capitals of all Indian State at the age of 2 years and 4 months. He got the achievement on January 28, 2022.
This apart, on March 2022, he made it to the International Book of Records for the most number of opposite words answered when he was 2 years, 6 months and 13 days old. He answered 40 opposite words.
Subhranshu’s father Sushant is working as a havildar of the India Reserve Battalion (IRB) in Rayagada district. He said that he is unable to give time to teach Subhranshu due to his busy schedule. However, his wife Laxmipriya, who is a housewife, devouts time for Subhranshu’s learning. She reportedly teaches him General Knowledge (GK), slokas and national and international current affairs.
Sushant and Laxmipriya claimed that their son Subhranshu learns for life anything he is told or taught even only once.
On the other hand, the people of his village and the nearby area have lauded Subhranshu for his achievements and wished for his bright future.
