Odisha’s Similipal National Park reopens for tourists

Mayurbhanj: The Similipal National Park in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha has been reopened for tourists from today, informed Similipal Tiger Reserve ACF Pradeep Dey.

Reportedly, the Deputy Director of National Park, Sai Kiran D.N had informed earlier that the national park will remain closed for visitors for three consecutive days due to unseasonal rain and foggy weather condition.

Due to the thick blanket of fog in the area, the tourists have been asked to visit the tiger reserve from 7 am.

It is to be noted that the tourists can enter the national park from Baripada Pithabata and Jashipur Kaliani gates where they can avail the entry tickets from the booking counters available near both the entry gates.

The authorities of Simlipal national park have made all necessary arrangements in order to make sure that all the Covid appropriate rules will be strictly followed by the tourists. The tourists will be allowed to visit the national park after verification of necessary details. The tour and travel guide system has been made mandatory for tourists.

The authorities also discouraged people from carrying any of plastic during the visit to Simlipal National Park. Tourists will have the opportunity to witness some of the major waterfalls like Barehipani and Joranda, added reports. All tourists are required to leave the Joranda and Barehipani waterfalls before 3 pm while before 4 pm from Chahla falls.

The Similipal National Park, located in northern Odisha, is spread over 2750 sq-km, famous for its flawless beauty due to its variety of plants and animal, which attracts tourists.
