Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s mountaineer and son of Jatani MLA Suresh Kumar Routray (commonly known as Sura Routray), Sidharth Routray on Sunday scaled Mt Everest.
Sidharth reportedly reached the highest peak in the world at around 4 AM and waved the national flag and Patitapabana Bana of the Lord Jagannath later.
Sidharth, who is recognised as the first Ironman from Odisha in 2016, has already climbed the top 3 peaks in three continents of North America, South America and Africa.
In January this year, Sidharth, who has climbed Mt Dennali in North America, Mt Aconcagua in South America and Mt Kilimanjaro in Africa, had successfully scaled the highest peak in the South American continent, Mount Aconcagua.
Sidharth lives in Folsom of California with his wife and two daughters.
