Odisha’s Ranjan Mohanty becomes new Chairperson of child rights body NACG

Bhubaneswar: Renowned child rights activist from Odisha Ranjan Kumar Mohanty has been elected as the Chairperson of National Action and Coordination Group (NACG) which is working to protect children from violence.

Mohanty was elected unanimously to the post during a two-day national board meeting of NACG-EVAC (End Violence Against Children) held at Panthaniwas in the city on Sunday. The meeting concluded yesterday.

Along with Mohanty two new vice-chairpersons and one executive body member were also elected during the meeting.

While, D Roshan Kumar and Sanjay Gupta will be the new vice-chairpersons of NACG, Prakash Rath of OLS from Odisha was elected as the member of its 11-member Executive Committee.
