Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s ace para-badminton player Pramod Bhagat added another feather to his cap as he bagged two gold medals at the China Para-Badminton International-2019.
Bhagat defeated Daniel Bethell of England 19-21, 21-13, 21-14 to win the single’s title. Bhagat partnering Manoj Sarkar also bagged the doubles title by defeating their country-mate Vikram Kumar and Suhash L.Y 18-21, 21-16, 21-15.

Suffering from polio since the age of four, Bhagat started playing badminton in 2002. However, he was introduced to the para-badminton circuit only in 2006. Bhagat was recently conferred with the prestigious Arjuna Award.
