New Delhi: Odisha’s Manisha Tripathy has been included as member in the recently reconstituted All-India Congress Committee (AICC). Interestingly, the 20-year-old Tripathy from Nabarangpur district is the youngest member of the newly formed AICC.

“I am extremely happy that I represent the fourth generation of my family who has become an AICC member. Indeed it is a proud moment for me,” said Tripathy while speaking exclusively to Kalinga TV.

“I am in Congress party because of Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s youth ideology, his calm and quite nature and disciplined life. Every youth in the country is now mad for building their career and nobody cares for the country. If one wants to see the development of the country, he or she should keep the country first and not the career. Besides, it is only the Congress party which can create a peaceful country,” she added.

When asked about her future objectives as AICC member, she said, “My objective will be to bring more youth into the party who will follow the ideology of Congress and work towards the development of the nation.”

Manisha is the daughter of Muna Tripathy, President, District Congress Committee of Nabrangpur. She is a +3 second year student in Nabarangpur College.

It is worthwhile to mention here that 78 leaders from Odisha have been included in the revised AICC list in which both senior as well as young leaders have been included. However, some of the top leaders like former MP Ananta Sethi, Odisha Congress chief whip Tara Prasad Bahinipati, MLAs Prafulla Majhi and Jogesh Singh have been dropped from the list.
