Odisha: Youth jumps into Bindu Sagar in Bhubaneswar, body fished out today
Bhubaneswar: A youth had allegedly jumped into the Bindu Sagar pond near the famous Lingaraj Temple in Old town area of Bhubaneswar on late Saturday night.
According to reports, the youth has been identified as Saishree Joyti Prakash, and is a resident of Bhubaneswar.
Before allegedly committing suicide, he posted a heart-rendering note on his personal Instagram account.
His friend on reading the said Instagram post immediately called the Shree Lingaraj Police station and asked them to rush to the spot and save him, but by then Saishree had jumped in.
Shree Lingaraj Police station and fire personnel immediately reached the spot and launched a rescue operation, but in vain.
The rescue personnel seized his two-wheeler near the pond.
The cops and fire fighters resumed the rescue operation on Sunday morning and have fished out the youth’s body.
