Bhubaneswar: Anshuman Kamila, who hails from Odisha, has topped the Indian Economic Service (IES) Examination 2019-20 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
Son of former Chief Postmaster General (CPMG) of Odisha Santosh Kumar Kamila and Odia singer Mitali Chinara, Anshuman ranked first among the 32 candidates who have qualified the IES examination.
After completing his school education here, Kamila studied Economics (Hons) at St Stephen’s College in New Delhi and MPhil at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
At present, Kamila is posted as Manager of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in Mumbai.
UPSC IES/ISS final merit list has been prepared on the basis of written held from 28 to 30 June 2019 followed by interviews for Personality Test in December 2019 and January 2020.
The total of 64 candidates has been recommended for appointment to the posts in Indian Economic Service and Indian Statistical Service. Out of total, 32 are for IES and remaining 33 for Indian Statistical Service.
