Keonjhar: The mutilated body of a woman was found floating in a pond at Jhinjirinali village under Patna police limits in Odisha’s Keonjhar district on Friday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Malli Munda, a resident of Sanrapasi village. She had come to Jhinjirinali to attend a death ritual of her relative, sources said.
According to reports, Malli’s body was spotted early in the morning by some elderly woman, who went there to take bath.
Though the exact cause of the death is yet to be ascertained, the locals suspected that it was a brutal murder by some miscreants as severe head injury was spotted.
On being informed, police reached the spot and sent the body to Patna CHC for autopsy test.
