Odisha woman announces 5000 cash award for information on her missing pet parrot ‘Coco’

Bhubaneswar: A woman of Cuttack in Odisha has circulated leaflets promising people to pay Rs 5000 cash award for the people who give information about her missing pet parrot ‘Coco.’

The woman, who has been identified as Prof. Sasmita Behera, also has published advertisements on different newspapers and social media platforms regarding her pet parrot and the cash prize.

Behera had kept a parrot as pet whom she called ‘Coco.’ She was looking after the parrot with lots of love and care as her own child. The parrot was roaming around the house. However, it went missing recently, following which the entire family members are sad and worried.

Sasmita and her family members, after a frantic search, now have published advertisements seeking people’s help. “Please help to find our parrot ‘COCO’ missing from Tulsipur, Madhusudan Nagar of Cuttack,” read the advertisement.

“If you get any formation of Coco with long tail and red patch on wing do send and share images or videos on WhatsApp (7381491288/8583816566). The cash reward is Rs 5000,” it added.
